Developers Team Up With Sony To Welcome Back Users

As most gamers already know, the recently cyber-attacked Playstation Network service went live once again late on May 14. Now the company fully detailed their “Welcome Back” package on Monday for loyal North American Playstation customers whose information was compromised (among many others) in the hacking incident.


The company has guaranteed non-Playstation Plus members a free month of the top tier service and two months to existing members prior to the network shut down.

Motion controls pay off for Microsoft and Sony

Following the previous Pause Button question of whether or not gamers would shell out the money for pricey new motion controls, recent reports have pointed to the conclusion that players would indeed buy into them and quite a few at that.

Both the Kinect (left) and Move (right) made impressive sales figures this holiday season so far.

New Uncharted GOTY edition announced

The official US Playstation 3 blog posted an announcement on Tuesday that Sony would release a Game of the Year edition of the blockbuster videogame, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.

The box for the Game of the Year edition of Uncharted 2, as posted on the Playstation Blog.

Gamer opinions fly upon Playstation Plus debut

The newly unveiled Playstation Plus service officially went live on the Playstation network on Wednesday and although it’s only been made available for a few days, gamers are already weighing in with their opinions on whether or not the upgrade is worth the price.

Playstation Plus is an add-on to the already free PSN service, but different in that it provides several different extras to gamers such as PSN store discounts, early access to betas and demos, and free game downloads for a subscription fee. Read the rest of this entry »





Sony E3 press conference re-cap: The Move, PSN+, and no PSP2

The Sony press conference at E3 Tuesday afternoon did not yield any grand system unveilings as Nintendo or Microsoft’s did prior, but it did address rumors and showed off its latest controller.

A demonstrator utilizes the Move controller on the Move-enabled game: Sorcery.
