Vanquish Demo Impressions

The ‘Velocity Attack’ demo for Sega’s forthcoming game Vanquish, officially released last week on Xbox Live and the Playstation Network.

Developed by Platinum Games, Vanquish is a futuristic third-person shooter where players control Sam Gideon, a former college football star turned rough-and-tough government agent who fights off robotic enemies in a tricked out, high tech, Halo-meets-Casshern battle armor suit. Gamer opinions fly upon Playstation Plus debut

The newly unveiled Playstation Plus service officially went live on the Playstation network on Wednesday and although it’s only been made available for a few days, gamers are already weighing in with their opinions on whether or not the upgrade is worth the price.

Playstation Plus is an add-on to the already free PSN service, but different in that it provides several different extras to gamers such as PSN store discounts, early access to betas and demos, and free game downloads for a subscription fee. Read the rest of this entry »

ModNation Racers Demo Impressions

I finally got the chance to try the demo of ModNation Racers for the PS3 on Saturday to see if it would fulfill any expectations I had about the game.

I was quite surprised when I found myself feeling both reminiscent and refreshed by the gameplay and features of the go-kart title.

The upcoming ModNation title brings mass user-created content and customizations to the kart-racing game genre.
