The 2012 Phoenix Comicon has concluded and was the stomping ground for many a nerd, geek, otaku, and gamer over the entire four days it was held last weekend.

Numerous panels and events peppered the convention so that few were left without anything to entertain them. The Pause Button’s own IncreaseBlue covered PCC and offers her thoughts below on how it all went.

It’s that time of year again. The Phoenix Comicon looms ahead at the end of May, bursting with individual events that make even the most casual of geeks and gamers giddy with anticipation. Jam Packed Tournament May Days

The month of May is the official marker of new changes, challenges, and turning on the heat in Arizona. Several different events are lined up for this weekend from the likes of DEVASTATION, Team Hazmat, and LAN Speed Games that will undoubtedly leave gamers thirsty for more.

AZHP Revamps Their Game

Local gaming crew AZHP are undergoing major changes in the coming months, and all of them are hype. Initially delayed from debuting their new look in the beginning of the year, AZHP confirmed with The Pause Button that a revamped AZHP Gaming site would go live on Wednesday.

The new website is just one of the few makeover pieces the group is undergoing. No longer will they be known as Arizona Hobbyists Paradise, but as Arcade Zone Hard Punch. Super Marvel Madness Crosses The Line This Weekend

The Super Marvel Madness series of tournaments regularly hosted by Euphoria Gaming are back to officially kick off summer. The next competition starts sizzling this Saturday in Tempe.

Keith Abbot of Euphoria Gaming intends to host what he dubs “Super Marvel Madness 5: Cross the Line Edition.” The event will include brackets for Street Fighter X Tekken, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition (2012 ver.), and will take place at the University of Advancing Technology.
