Troy Baker talks Resident Evil 6 with The Pause Button

For those of you looking to pick up Resident Evil 6 today (if you haven’t already), check out our interview with Troy Baker during Saboten 2012 discussing his new character Jake Muller debuting in the storied franchise.

The Pause Button: How does it feel for you to come in on the heels of such a big character like Wesker? How is it specifically for you and the fans, to play such a big role in Resident Evil 6?

Troy Baker: Well I’m a gamer first, and I’ve played since Resident Evil 1 so I’ve seen the progression from Jill to Chris, Leon, Claire. So to kind of be one of those characters, it’s pretty humbling, it’s pretty cool. I love the fact that it’s a new character that I can do, that I get to help with Capcom–we sat down and spent a lot of time really creating the character. Read the rest of this entry »





Countdown to DEVASTATION, get your practice in!

The huge DEVASTATION event is a mere two weeks away and this Saturday will yield a nice platter of events for Arizona gamers to get in the last smidgens of practice before the big competitions kick off.

First off is Team Haz-Mat with their DEVASTATION Boot Camp event on Saturday. The boot camp is $5 for a venue fee and $5 entry fee for each tournament being held at Team Haz-Mat‘s spot in Laveen. Competitions will start at 7 p.m. with Marvel vs. Capcom 3, then continue with Street Fighter III: Third Strike at 9 p.m., and finish up with Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition at 10 p.m. Read the rest of this entry »





Kombat of All Kinds This Weekend in AZ

As the summer heat continues to boil, so does the gaming action this weekend, which provides a multitude of gaming opportunities to get your fight on and prove your skill.

On Friday night the Cade Gallery will be hosting their second Fight Klub event with a Mortal Kombat II tournament on their old school cabinet. The competition will kick off at 7 p.m., single elimination, with no entry fees. Prizes include gift cards and t-shirts, as well as bragging rights for the next month.

Developers Team Up With Sony To Welcome Back Users

As most gamers already know, the recently cyber-attacked Playstation Network service went live once again late on May 14. Now the company fully detailed their “Welcome Back” package on Monday for loyal North American Playstation customers whose information was compromised (among many others) in the hacking incident.


The company has guaranteed non-Playstation Plus members a free month of the top tier service and two months to existing members prior to the network shut down.

Uncharted 3 Multiplayer: What’s New?

While many gamers were buzzing about the midnight releases of Portal 2 and Mortal Kombat on Monday, Playstation and Naughty Dog decided to drop a nice little tidbit post detailing the multiplayer beta for Uncharted 3.

The most prominent of the info given was the multiplayer trailer (below) which showed off both the Chateau and Airstrip maps planned for the game.
