Several video games in 2010 gave players refreshing takes on old formulas as well as completely new game play mechanics and stories. The Pause Button’s own IncreaseBlue gave a small list below of which games offered the most memorable moments of the year. (Caution, there are a few spoilers for some games included in this article).
The Tokyo Game Show officially wrapped on Sunday in Chiba, Japan, after pouring out a slew of announcements for upcoming games which sparked the interests of gamers across the globe.
The Tokyo Game Show is a yearly video game expo where developers, publishers, and various other members of the video game industry show off their latest games, software, and technology for the Japanese market. The upcoming anime convention in Phoenix, Ariz., known as Saboten-con, will host more than voice actor panels and cosplayer gatherings, it will also feature gaming tournaments!
Once again, Saboten-con will include a hefty gaming room that will be run by the Arizona Hobbyists Paradise when it begins on its new dates of October 1-3. Read the rest of this entry »
The grand finals for the DEVASTATION event began Sunday afternoon at the Phoenix Convention Center with the biggest and best players reserved for last, as they battled each other for the first place gold medals in their respective games.
Large bleacher seating was pulled out for attendees to watch the finals in true competition style.
The room’s setup changed to accompany the grandiose nature of the finals, as many of the casual setups and booths were taken out, and full stadium style bleachers extended out for attendees to watch the last matches of the event on the dual projection screens. Read the rest of this entry »
While The Pause Button was perusing the gaming available at the Phoenix Comicon, IncreaseBlue ran into the one and only Rob Chiarini, overseer of the upcoming gaming event DEVASTATION.
