Hello! My name is Christen, (a.k.a IncreaseBlue on Twitter).

I started this blog to further pursue my passion in journalism and combine that with my interests in video games. It sounds completely nerdy of course (and who’s to argue?) however, I wish to go beyond the “hum drum” of reporting on the gaming world.

After experiencing a lot of the same formulas in reporting related to video games (i.e. game review, game announcement, game review, game announcement, oh snap! guess what? Another game review!) I wanted to reach further into the genre and maybe discover something new. I can’t argue that the past formulas aren’t important (what would video game reporting be without them?) but I do wish to try and “shake things up” as it were (and in doing so, not sound like a total nerd).

Being that I myself am a dork/nerd/oddball/gamer/musician/movie buff, this blog will no doubt be a long stretch from the “usual” blogs out there that try to tackle things in one single way—professionally or…..not. So if nothing else I can guarantee that this blog will supply an ever-changing momentum and speed, but I hope that everyone will be along for the ride.

So with that in mind I do wish that if you give this blog a chance it will (at best) intrigue you, and at the very least, make you laugh.
