Barfights and Bizarre adventures this weekend!

The drop of the newest consoles are almost upon us, but let’s not abandon our current gen so quickly! This weekend there are two events courtesy of Spiral Series and AZHP Gaming.

-The Spiral Series group will be hosting another Barfight event at the Armadillo Grill in Phoenix. 

-Games will kick off at 7 p.m. on Saturday with Street Fighter x Tekken money matches and more throughout the night.

See some Ghosts for the end of October!

The end of October nears and, if you’re not too busy tearing down buildings in Battlefield 4 or sailing the high seas in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, there are a few events to mark the beginning of November and winter season.

Spiral Series ranbats season finale

-The Spiral Series crew is finishing up their competitive ranbats this Saturday at 12 p.m. in Tempe’s own Gaming Zone. 

-Games include SFxT, UMvC3, and SSF4:AE. Competitors must pay a $5 venue fee and $5 per a tournament that they wish to enter.

There is a nice mix of FPS and fighting game tournaments happening to fulfill your brisk fall weekend. Read more below to see the competitive throwdowns being hosted by Spiral Series Entertainment and AZHP Gaming.

Spiral Series ranbats at the Gaming Zone

-Three tournaments kicking off on Saturday at 12 p.m. at The Gaming Zone in Tempe.

-$5 entry fee per tournament (including Super Street Fighter 4: AE, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and Street Fighter x Tekken), as well as a $5 organizational fee. 

-Winners will get a split of the game pot, as well as points to overall ranking in the season.

AZHP Gaming tournaments abound for the end of August

After a bit of a lighter week, competitive action is going full force in Arizona for the last of August.

AZHP Gaming will host their fifth tournament at the Microsoft Store in Scottsdale this Saturday for Call of Duty: Black Ops II. The tournament will start at 2 p.m. and be free to enter. Read the rest of this entry »





AZHP Gaming releases schedule for Phoenix Comicon

536432_10150916656778567_732766104_nWith Phoenix Comicon less than two weeks away, AZHP Gaming is preparing to hold its gaming room  for the 8th year running at the event. The group released their competition schedule late Monday night and are featuring over ten tournaments and plenty more.

The group will be running casual stations for the Thursday preview night from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. The action really kicks off on Friday. Their tournament schedule is as follows:

King of Fighters XIII (PS3) – 11 a.m.

Persona 4: Arena (PS3) – 1:30 p.m.

The group will give away slews of prizes which include NoS energy drink packs, Aqua Red t-shirts, $20 giftcards to The Game Zone, Evil Controller controllers, comic books, prints and much more.

Along with regular tournaments, AZHP will be hosting casual game stations throughout the weekend for attendees to freely play. All the competitive action will be streamed by Team Hazmat and Team Mailorder. Tickets for Phoenix Comicon are currently on sale at their website.
