First off is Team Haz-Mat with their DEVASTATION Boot Camp event on Saturday. The boot camp is $5 for a venue fee and $5 entry fee for each tournament being held at Team Haz-Mat‘s spot in Laveen. Competitions will start at 7 p.m. with Marvel vs. Capcom 3, then continue with Street Fighter III: Third Strike at 9 p.m., and finish up with Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition at 10 p.m.

All games will be played on Xbox 360 and will be streamed on the Team Haz-Mat channel. The team has confirmed that top level players such as Danimitsu, Mr. SNK, Sabre and more will be present at the event, which will be the last for the team before DEVASTATION hits. Check out their official Facebook event page for more details.

UPDATE: QCF has pushed back the date for Ultra Fatality to October 16. The bottom information still applies but the date has changed for after DEVASTATION.

Another event where competition practice can be had is the Ultra Fatality tournament at the University of Advancing Technology in Tempe on Saturday. The event is hosted by the QCF (Quarter Circle Forward) Club and will include tournaments for Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition, Mortal Kombat 9, and Soul Calibur IV.

Each tournament will have a $5 entry fee with a 70/20/10 pot split between the top placers. Casuals are scheduled to start at 12:30 p.m. and competitions kick off at 1:30 p.m. For more information, see the official AZ SRK thread or Facebook event page.

Of course the DEVASTATION crew will be hosting their own Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition tournament at the Royale Theatre in Mesa. The competition is free to enter and will begin at 1 p.m. Participants are highly encouraged to bring their own controllers.

Also, all attendees to the screening must pose like this at the end.

Finally if you just feel like kicking back and enjoying some awesomely terrible flicks, then you can join the crew later on in the day for their presentation of the original live action Street Fighter movie. There will be two showings: one at 5 p.m. and another at 8 p.m. Tickets are $8 and all are welcome to witness the awesome campy-ness of Bison, Guile, and all the rest of the Street Fighters in the 90s adaptation.
