Time to break out the fight sticks and shake off that holiday dust as Spiral Series begins their second season of ranking battles this Saturday in Tempe at The Gaming Zone. This year the Spiral Series crew will have four different games for people to compete and rank in over the five-week season: Street Fighter x Tekken, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition, and Killer Instinct.
All of those who wish to compete must pony up a $5 venue fee and $5 for each tournament they want to play in. The team will start casuals and sign-ups at 1 p.m. and the entire schedule for the Saturday ranbat kickoff will break down as follows:
Killer Instinct and SFxT – 1:45 p.m. sign-ups close, tournament goes from 2 p.m. till 4:30 p.m.
SSF4:AE – 4:15 p.m. sign-ups close, tournament starts at 4:30 p.m. until 7 p.m.
UMvC3 – 6:45 p.m. sign-ups close, tournament starts at 7 p.m. until 10 p.m.
First through sixth placements in each competition will be awarded points for their total season standings. The season payout prize will be divvied up 60/30/10 at the conclusion of the series.
