With spring almost here, gaming events of all kinds are starting to blossom, as is evidenced by the incoming torrents of stuff for gamers to do this weekend.

First off is the Connichiwa convention in Tucson, where AZHP Gaming will be hosting their gaming room in full force. They plan to open their room on Friday at 10 a.m. and host a slew of tournaments throughout the weekend including Killer Instinct, Tekken Tag 2, Street Fighter x Tekken, and tons more. Full competition schedule can be found on their FB page.

If Tucson is a little too far, then The Gaming Zone in Tempe will play host to a retro game night with the Atari Creep on Friday as well. It kicks off at 4 p.m. until 12 a.m. and only costs $5 for entry. For all the details, check out their official Facebook event page.

On Saturday the Spiral Series folks will be hosting their ranbats for Killer Instinct, Street Fighter x Tekken, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and Street Fighter 4: AE. Everything kicks off at 12 p.m. and there is a $5 fee for entry per tournament. More details can be found here.
