Halloween gaming hijinks this weekend

As Halloween approaches, there’s plenty of events for all you ghouls and ghosts to enjoy. Some of them include tons of competitions and an annual event presented by the cool folks at LAN Speed Games

Black Ops II at The Gaming Zone

-A 4v4 UMG Black Ops II tournament on Saturday at 12 p.m. run by AZHP Gaming at The Gaming Zone in Tempe.

-Kicks off at 2 p.m. $3 venue fee and $20 entry fee per every team; buy-ins go toward the winners’ pot split at 60/30/10.

Injustice Hazbats 5.1 at the Microsoft Store

-Team Hazmat is officially rolling out their fifth season of Hazbats at the Microsoft Store in Scottsdale on Saturday.

-Sign-ups close at 5:30 p.m. and the tournament starts at 6 p.m. There are no entry fees and prizes are points toward the end of the season total. Injustice is the only game featured this time round.

Oh hello, HalloLAN!

Unfortunately this event has been cancelled after a vehicle drove into the LSG store and destroyed a wall. No one was seriously hurt in the accident, but the store owners had to close the location while recovery and repairs go through.

-The kind folks at LAN Speed Games are running their annual HalloLAN event this Saturday at their location in Peoria. 

-Individuals pay $25 or groups of three pay $20 each to reserve a seat in the ghoulish gaming night. Food, prizes, and contests will be running from 6 p.m. until 3 a.m.

Win the Iron Fist Tournament at Fix N’ Play

-AZHP Gaming will run another fighting game tournament at the Fix N’ Play location in Phoenix on Sunday.

-$2 venue fee and $3 entry fee per tournament. Two competitions will be hosted for Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and King of Fighters XIII. Everything kicks off at 11 a.m.

-Prizes will include a 60/30/10 pot split to the winners of each tourney. For more info, check out the AZHP Gaming Facebook event page

Catch’em all at the Arizona Collectors Marketplace

-The Streetpass Arizona Pokemon League will host a Pokemon X and Y event at the AZ Collectors Marketplace in Phoenix on Sunday

-Free to all! Cosplayers, food, trivia, and tons of gamers will be present, so bring your thinking caps and 3DSes.
