Summer gaming kicks off in Arizona!

For those of you that missed out on Phoenix Comicon, the AZHP Gaming room competitions really felt like a true kickoff to a summer filled with tournaments to come. The cool crew at LAN Speed Games intend to keep the action going with their traditional Lock-in event at the end of the month.

League-of-Legends1As per usual practice, the LAN Speed Games Lock-in will occur this Friday and cost $20 per person ($15 for a group of three). Attendees will get to enter the venue at 10 p.m. that night and be locked in for a staggering 10 hours of gaming before the event ends at 8 a.m. on Saturday. The team will provide pizza to participants and are urging customers to reserve their seats before they are filled. For more details, check out their Facebook event page.

This Saturday will also play host to the Microsoft Gamers groups’ gaming league kickoff. The group will start off their league at the Scottsdale Microsoft store at 6:30 p.m. with a Call of Duty: Black Ops II tournament. There are no entry fees and random prizes will be awarded to the winners. Check out their official event Meetup page for more details. 

And in the vein of a new summer with new beginnings, the folks at the recently established GameCo Lab will be hosting a game development introductory workshop on Saturday. For $15 per a person, attendees will be walked through the basics of game building. For more details, check out their Meetup page on the event.
