Fall tournaments in full swing with Euphoria Gaming and others

As Halloween approaches, so do some opportunities for fun gaming experiences for all. This weekend will play host to several events hosted by the likes of Euphoria Gaming and DEVASTATION right up till the end of the month.

Trick or treat, I got an axe for you to eat!

Starting off the weekend proper will be the Euphoria Gaming crew hosting their Persona 4: Arena/King of Fighters XIII This is It! Bootcamp event on Saturday. This tournament will take place at the University of Advancing Technology (room 201) and there are no entry fees. 

Season three Hazbats finale this weekend

The Team Hazmat “Hazbats” are coming to a close this weekend, where season winners for Persona 4: Arena, Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and King of Fighters XIII will be decided for the grand prize pot.

The finale will take place at the team’s hangout in Laveen on Saturday. There will be a $5 entry fee, as well as an additional $5 entry for any single tournament; barring Street Fighter which has a $10 fee.

Get Ready to Draw Some Blood(lines)

DEVASTATION may be over, but that doesn’t mean Arizona gamers are out of opportunities to duke it out! The Euphoria Gaming crew are hosting their third Bloodline tournament for multiple games in Tempe on Saturday.

The Bloodline 3 tournament will take place at the University of Advancing Technology. The Euphoria crew plan to host three competitions in Mortal Kombat 9, Tekken 6 and Soul Calibur IV (all on PS3). Casuals are set to kick off at 1 p.m. with the tournaments starting at 3 p.m.

Vanquish Demo Impressions

The ‘Velocity Attack’ demo for Sega’s forthcoming game Vanquish, officially released last week on Xbox Live and the Playstation Network.

Developed by Platinum Games, Vanquish is a futuristic third-person shooter where players control Sam Gideon, a former college football star turned rough-and-tough government agent who fights off robotic enemies in a tricked out, high tech, Halo-meets-Casshern battle armor suit.
