With Taiyou Con behind us, there’s a fresh new year to dive into for gaming. For those who are looking to attend for gaming events, the crew at LAN Speed Games is hosting their first Lock-in/All Nighter of 2013 next week.

As said before, December becomes a bit of a gaming freeze as far as events go, but the good folks at LAN Speed Games are intending to celebrate 2012 in style: with a lock-in!
LSG is planning to host a New Years’ Lock-in bash starting extra early so gamers can wile away the last vestiges of the year and push on through to the new one with plenty of titles to entertain them. The whole shindig will kick off at 6 p.m. on December 31 and run until 10 a.m. the next day.
The crew at LSG are promising tons of prizes, tournaments, and giveaways throughout the night. Seats can be reserved for the event at $30 a person and potential attendees are encouraged to sign up ahead of time in store. For more information, check out their official Facebook event page.
The coveted day in which thousands of people across the nation engorge themselves on way too much food is slowly approaching. Unfortunately the holidays tend to slow down tournament action (you know, because people are too busy spending time with family—pffft!), but a there will be a couple events on the horizon for those needing a quick gaming fix.
As the Arizona temperatures cool down, tournament action is heating back up. Local venues LAN Speed Games and Fix & Play are holding some weekend gaming events for all to compete.

For those of you who didn’t know, Namco’s latest endeavor in 3D fighters Tekken Tag Tournament 2 released yesterday. A successor to the PS2′s Tekken Tag Tournament, TTT2 is bringing revamped visuals paired with the tagging action that made the first Tag Tournament title such a popular powerhouse.
