Marvel vs. Capcom 3 gets a release date

The highly anticipated fighting game Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds will officially be released on February 15 in the United States and March 31 in the United Kingdom, Capcom announced on Tuesday.

Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will be the first installment to the series since its popular predecessor, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, debuted in 2000. The game features numerous comic book characters from the Marvel universe as well as popular Capcom video game characters and pits them against each other in tag team fights. Tokyo Game Show announcement roundup

The Tokyo Game Show officially wrapped on Sunday in Chiba, Japan, after pouring out a slew of announcements for upcoming games which sparked the interests of gamers across the globe.

The Tokyo Game Show is a yearly video game expo where developers, publishers, and various other members of the video game industry show off their latest games, software, and technology for the Japanese market. Namco and Capcom announce two versus titles at Comicon

Two producers from publishers Capcom and Namco Bandai officially confirmed two crossover fighting titles Saturday afternoon at the San Diego Comicon in California.

The games, officially dubbed Street Fighter x Tekken and Tekken x Street Fighter, will reportedly feature characters from the Namco series Tekken and characters from the Capcom series Street Fighter. Read the rest of this entry »





Nintendo E3 conference recap: 3DS and Oldschool Gaming

The Nintendo press briefing that took place Tuesday morning at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles offered up many plays on old game memories and the unveiling of Nintendo’s next big handheld jump.

The biggest focal point of the conference was the unveiling of the 3D gaming handheld system, the Nintendo 3DS. Presented by Satoru Iwata, President and CEO of Nintendo, the 3DS shows off a new analog stick, 3.5 inch top screen display, two cameras apparently capable of taking 3D pictures, motion sensors, gyroscope, and of course, 3D graphical output.
