August is generally known as one of the more painfully hot months in Arizona, but this year it will be known for some intense competition courtesy of LAN Speed Games and Button Masherz.
Coming this Sunday will be the LSG Champion League of Legends tournament at LAN Speed Games in Peoria. The competition is a follow up to their past one, except this time around the group has been backed by Riot Games with prizes along with a $500 prize pot for the winning team.
The tournament calls for five-man teams (capped out at 16 teams for the entire event) with a $20 per a person entry fee. The brackets will be double elimination, runes and masteries allowed, and a strict ten-minute setup time to prepare for each round.
As said, Riot Games have contributed to the tournament so in addition to getting a $500 prize pot, the first place team will get $20 worth of Riot points and a Triumphant Ryze skin per player. Second, third and fourth placers will be getting their divvies of $15, $10, and $5 Riot point shares per player as well. The tournament is set to begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
