Don’t be an April Fool at Tournaments This Week

27 03 2012

There’s plenty of fun tournaments to celebrate the end of March and one hopes that April will be full of tons more. This week the folks at Digital Dojo and LAN Speed Games break into the new month proper.

Starting off the action early will be Digital Dojo hosting their bi-weekly Soul Calibur V tournament on Wednesday the 28th at Manawerx/Outpost Games. After the recent balancing patch, this will be the perfect chance to see how your mains measure up to the buffs and nerfs.

The bracket will be double-elimination with a $5 entry fee (prize pot split between first through third place). Casuals are set to begin at 8 p.m. and the tournament officially starts at 9 p.m. As per usual practice, all the matches will be streamed on the Digital Dojo Twitch.tv channel.

Following up on Sunday will be LAN Speed Games with their Street Fighter x Tekken tournament. The tournament will begin at 2 p.m., use best 2/3 format, and the first through third placers will get Gamestop giftcards. For more information and to sign up, visit the LAN Speed event page.

Also, for those who want to have a nice quiet weekend at home, one might want to check out the action on the Retro Rumble Youtube channel on Friday as they count down the last two episodes for season two.
