After months of hype, sneak peaks, and reality TV shows, Street Fighter x Tekken has finally made its landing (alongside Mass Effect 3) on Tuesday. While the game is still fresh off the presses and in the hands of gamers, there are a few opportunities to test newfound skills and strategies for the game in Arizona this week.
Our Tucson friends at Arcade-in-a-Box confirmed late Saturday that they will be switching their Wednesday night boot camps to include Street Fighter x Tekken. The boot camp will likely be similar to previous ones, and will serve as an open opportunity for new players and veterans alike. The boot camp will take place during their regular hours from 8 p.m. till midnight.
Euphoria Gaming has also announced that they will be running a Street Fighter x Tekken tournament at the University of Advancing Technology on Saturday. The action is set to start with casuals at 1 p.m. and double-elimination tournament brackets beginning at 3 p.m. There is no entry fee and the top three winners will get Amazon giftcards in $30, $20, and $10 variations.
There will also be a raffle for a copy of Street Fighter x Tekken, with raffle tickets going for $5 each. Keith Abbott of Euphoria Gaming has commented that gems will likely be banned for use in this tournament and players are encouraged to bring their own fight pads or arcade sticks.
