Kicking off 2012 proper will be the AZHP hosting tournaments at the Taiyou Con anime convention the first weekend of January.

The event will be taking place on January 6-8 Taiyou Con at the Hilton Phoenix East/Mesa hotel.
AZHP will be hosting tournaments throughout the weekend. As per usual practice, the crew will host open and casual gaming throughout the event as well, but their tournament schedule is as follows:
Friday-
Arcana Hearts 3 – 2 p.m.
Naruto Clash of Ninja Revolution 3 – 4 p.m.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl – 7 p.m.
Saturday-
Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike – 12 p.m.
Marvel vs. Capcom 3 – 2 p.m.
Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition (ver. 2012) – 5 p.m.
Mortal Kombat – 8 p.m.
Sunday-
Blazblue: Continuum Shift II – 1 p.m.
Tickets for Taiyou Con are currently available via their website for $30 (until Dec. 31st) so you have plenty of time to mark it on your Christmas lists for that anime/video game lover in your family.
